OCTA, On-Call Right of Way Engineering

GUIDA was selected by OCTA to provide on-call right of way engineering support services, including field and office survey support. Under this three-year contract, services included performing right of way engineering for all types of projects, such as railroad grade separations, highway improvements, arterial street improvements, freeway projects, OCTA-owned real estate and other projects within OCTA’s jurisdiction. Collaboration with Caltrans District 12 was required for projects within freeway and highway corridors. Collaboration with the railroads, namely SCRRA, UPRR and BNSF, was required for projects within the rail corridors. GUIDA'S specific scope of work included the preparation of boundary retracement maps (land net mapping), pre-construction and post-construction monumentation surveys, records of survey, survey control maps, map checking, and other land surveyor tasks related to right of way and real estate transactions.
