OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is widening the SR-55 in both directions, from just north of the I-405/SR-55 Interchange to just south of the I-5/SR-55 Interchange in the cities of Santa Ana, Tustin, and Irvine. This $475.1M improvement project to one of Orange County’s most crucial freeway corridors will reduce congestion and fulfill OCTA’s commitment to keep commuters moving. The proposed project limits cover a distance of a 4-mile corridor, adding general purpose and high-occupancy vehicle lanes in each direction between I-405 and I-5 and auxiliary lanes between interchanges.
As a subconsultant, GUIDA has provided land surveying and mapping services for both the PA/ED and PS&E phases of this OCTA project. Additionally, GUIDA'S team is contracted to provide surveying services for the current CM phase of this ongoing project.
