Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC), I-15/SR-91 Express Lanes Connector

The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, built the SR-91/I-15 Express Lanes Connector, linking the I-15 Express Lanes to the SR-91 Express Lanes. This connector extends from the Eastbound SR-91 Express Lanes to the Northbound I-15 Express Lanes and from the Southbound I-15 Express Lanes to the Westbound SR-91 Express Lanes.

GUIDA provided the design-build team with control and surveying services to support the design of the connector and other improvements. This included mobile LiDAR and terrestrial LiDAR surveys, topographic and utility surveys, and some right of way engineering to support easements within the railroad and flood control right of way.

Additionally, GUIDA is providing the design-build team with construction surveys including construction calculations, construction layout, constructability reviews, earthwork surveys, monitoring, and as-built surveys. The connector opened in December of 2023.
