San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG), Fullerton Road Grade Separation (CM)

As a subconsultant to AECOM, GUIDA is providing land surveying support services for the construction management phase of SGVCOG’s Fullerton Road Grade Separation project. The project will lower Fullerton Road under the existing Union Pacific railroad tracks in the City of Industry and an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, between Rowland Street and State Route 60. Plans call for constructing a six-lane roadway underpass on Fullerton Road with retaining walls and bridges for the railroad and Rowland Street spanning Fullerton Road. Gale Avenue will be lowered at the intersection with Fullerton Road.

GUIDA'S services on this project include providing surveying compliance monitoring (especially pre-placement surveys), verifying layouts and controls, spot checking reference points and finished work, and monitoring settlement or movement of existing facilities, if required. GUIDA is also responsible for providing quality assurance of all surveying work as it pertains to construction control survey points. Lastly, GUIDA is providing survey for utility relocations, as required by various utility companies.
